I wasn't going to bother posting pics of the poppies,but what the hell.It's pretty much safe to say that these plants aren't going to live:mad2:Yo justme,I mush have missed your post.Get my room ready,and I'll be right over:grin:

It looks like a few are still pretty green at the center and have a good chance at survival, don't say dead before the pulse is gone.

Yeah,I'm going to keep them around,and see what happens,although some of them like the one I pictured look like the pulse has long been gone:grin:

I see 2 on the left, and a few on the top and sides that look fine. The previous cold snap made a few leaves on mine turn completely purple but the plant is still alive and kicking 2 or so weeks later.

Well, I guess you haven't talked to your family back in KY. Yeah the tops of every tree is broken off. Lots of dead plants including mine.

I lost one to three poppies, I'll know by tomorrow, the bummer is it was my biggest that took the hardest hit. lol

I didn't take any pics, the leaves didn't turn colors just the largest one I have curled up a little, I'm hoping the heat saves it. It's funny all the little baby ones I barely water and take care of because I didn't think they would ever grow took no damage and had no cover.

it is odd how small poppy plants can cope with cold better than bigger plants.
baby plants over winter fine here if the seed germinates in autumn :yesnod:

Yeah,it's weird.All my baby seedlings weren't even phased by the cold,and some of them were in pots and the soil froze as hard as a rock!
