1.5oz off of one cake, first flush.

I just obtained about 1.5oz from one cake, the shrooms were perfectly shaped and everything no mycelium growth on them no aborts which was unusual weighed them today dry and it came out to 1.5oz which is an extremely good yield from tc's however I have a question. It seems the high yield has exhausted the cake and recomendations? Pictures are also on the way! :tongue:

If you are trying to imply that you got 1.5 ounces of dry fruit from a typical 1/2 pint BRF/verm cake on the first flush, then you need to find a more gullible crowd to entertain.

A PF cake only has 31 grams of brown rice in it. How did the fungus somehow not only manage the impossible of converting all of that into fruitbodies, but also miraculously created another 10 grams of matter.

Either clarify what you really had to yield the 1.5 ounces, or take the story to the big fish forum.

How do you know its 31 grams? I used 3 times more verm than whole wheat, so for 3 ounces of verm, I inserted an ounce of wheat. Also if regular plants just need water and sunlight to grow huge, why cant shrooms use water and brf for the same? I still think 42g sounds weird. Maybe he didnt properly dry them, his scale is broken, or he used more than 42g of brf.

It's true. Your yeild will only be as much as the amount of brown rice flour and water available. It is rare for weight to be taken away or given. I say rare because it's not impossible. You can take away weight with atoms but I know nothing about that.

also when growing your dry weight tends to be about 1/10th of the consumable dry material you put into it, because the rest is used for mycellial growth or is indigestable.

What??? Plants require and absorb nutrients from there environment. Nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, etc etc..... In addition, they also fix CO2 to make more complex molecules.
Try putting a plant in a pot with a small _fixed_ amount of nutrients and water, hell go ahead and give it three ounces of some plant fertilizer and see how big it is going to get.
Or better yet at least check out some basic biology books. Then perhaps such gibberish wouldn't spew forth.
