in cali and want to buy a grow kit.. what would you do??

I was told that you can go to Nevada and obtain kits. Anyone know if this is true? In California and want some. can you point me to the road?

You don't need a kit. Get some jars, an alcohol burner, some isopropyl, some vermiculite, and some brown rice flour. And most spore vendors have no problem shipping to Cali.

I'm on my first grow right now, in fact... I have eight jars. A few of them have just turned 100% white and I'm waiting for them to pin. Suffice to say I'm shitting myself with anticipation.

yeah don't waste money on a grow kit. i know is seams like a good idea at first but its not. they are overpriced and generally don't support much of a yield

Yeah, use the search function.  Here's another clue: mail forwarding.  Get a syringe.  Make some silicone injection ports on your jar lids for liquid cultures and you'll have a lifetime of grows with one syringe.  Newbs can totally get more mushrooms for their dollar if they did a bit of reading.

I live in one of those places with awsome laws. I took a trip out of state for the weekend and had them mailed to the place I was staying at about a week earlier been enjoying mycology since.

Find a third party PO box...Check online, there are 3rd party PO boxes that will recieve your mail and then send it out to you.

I've managed to receive spores from international sites that don't know the local laws to a state with spores banned,
the package was opened by customs but they didn't know the local laws obviously,
received it at my post location and its been a couple years no DEA or anything  :smile2:
