Thats what I got from the translation @ dictionary.com
It usually depends on where they're from, some places have different words than traditional spanish

Or he could have just spelled them wrong

The website gives exact word translation, I don't think it rearranges the sentences

Yeah, well I took spanish for like 4 years.  A lot of good that did me apparently.  I need to get Rosetta Stone or something one of these days.

I can make out a lot of the nouns and verbs and I was trying to go through it with a s-e dictionary.  But I have trouble with knowing who the subject is in cases like this - "mucho se habla  de esto"

It's no majorly big deal.  I'm not going to Peru anytime real soon and I don't know that the guy got the gist of what I was trying to ask him so??

hell, how are you my colleague?  Thanks for writing, I received your message and the (?) about having the ahayusca.  If you're interested please I can't contact the school which has always been helpful to everybody who is interested in rebuilding their life.  My colleague, friend, man, it talks of this in the world now, our little school, is the first that throws [out there] to the world the goodness to everybody who's interested.  If you really are interested, I am for serving it, and giving more information and questions that you want.  My colleague Jim, I'm looking forward to your reply and I'm looking forward to your messages, with a strong hug for the master.

Were you trying to ask him about doing ayahuasca?

Well, no.  I'm trying to see if there's some way, short of going to Peru, to have a Shipibo tribesperson do a bit of some ayahuasca pattern art on something like a small hand drum for me.  Then I could transfer that and incorporate it into a tattoo.

It didn't seem like this man understood my e-mail fully though.

Now, that's not to say that I wouldn't like to participate in a ceremony.  But my funds are lacking, atm.  I'm not flying anywhere.

If that's what you were asking, then no, I don't think he understood more than the word Ayahuasca

No problem, 3 years of spanish couldn't do what living amongst non-English speakers and working construction can do.
