yeah, that's stupid.
if I started posting threads about anthropology or how scientists have implanted electrodes into someone's head so they can move objects just by thinking about it... they would no doubt get moved to OTD, and I don't think they really belong there, OTD has too much of a "casual" feel. there needs to be a science forum.

How come space alien related topics can be put in the S&P forum? Shouldn't they be put under OTD (or better yet a Science forum)?

belief in alien  beings visiting earth isn't based on  the scientific method in any way shape or form :P
so it's not  technically  science
but I wouldn't personally  move all posts related to it, just wait to see the post get  criticised hardcore  :grin:
but posts about.. say... some person's personal beliefs regarding alien life forms  and how they have 'contact' with  some... that would have to go.
posts about aliens in general... that's a call I  wouldn't feel like making

there is the science of growing mushrooms.

there is also the science of mushrooms and the brain, their role in nature, evolution, etc. none of which would be in the spirit of the cultivation forum! since it is called "cultivation" no one will post non-cultivation-related material there.

Say If I wanted to discuss the chemistry involved in certain parts of the life cycle of a mushroom, or perhaps the chemistry of plants/drugs. I think there should be a new forum entitled Advanced Mycology and Science

i'd rather see a diverse range of topics, even science topics, than to see a bunch of poorly thought out, misspelled, ignorant nonsensical posts by mental rejects. posts about ufo's and fucking your grandmother and "science and philosiphy" are more annoying than thoughtful science topics.
