Rye Grass Seed..

Hello

I want to grow the mexicana A strain to achieve sclerotia. Though rye grass seed is what's most talked about in producing this, i've read that other types of grass seed can be used. What other types of grass seed can be use? I've called up loads of growing centres here in London and when i mention "rye grass seed" the people all sound dumbfounded :frown:

I know that there shouldn't be an fungicide on the seeds used, what other precautions should i look out for when buying grass seed?

Every grass seed will work(like for sawing lawns), as long it?s not treated with fungicides.
