That right there is why it's proper to be Yankee fan.  They try to win more than anybody else.

How? If you can have a 45 million dollar budget and you spend all of that, how is it "trying to win more than anybody else" if a team with a basically unlimited budget spends 160 million and not surprisingly wins more then others as they can pay more per player then other teams can due to playing in a huge market and having no short line people who will pay stupid prices to go to games cuz it's cool to be at a game and could really give two squirts about baseball? 

Enlighten me.

If a team takes in $500 in revenue and reinvests it in their product to make it better they are infinitely better than a team that has similar revenue but pockets the dough.  What the fuck happened to the Blue Jays who were, I believe, drawing 4 million fans in the early 90s?  Why do the Cubs and Dodgers perennially suck?  They aren't any small market podunks.  The Yanks didn't always make the most money but they certainly led the way in reinvesting in their product.  And it paid off, in money and wins.
