I know.
I'm just saying, a gathering in general.

Did you meet a guy named "firewalker" who cooked for Milliways?
I was camped across from the magic bowl for the most part.
The mosquitos were pretty heinous. When I got back to babylon people thought I had scabies because of all the mosquito scars.

I had 100 bugs on me at a time. What days were you there? I was there from June 24th through till the 14th I think. Was getting eaten alive at my camp and on the trails everyday. I didnt use bug spray which couldve factored into it. I looked like I had the plague.

bummer about the bugs dude.

i was there june 12 through july 5. oh, and if you were camped at majik bowl, you might have seen me blow by on the main trail riding a yellow mountain bike with HUGE tires. pretty much everyday i rode up the back gate trail from milliways, down to the middle gate to kid village trail, through the gathering and down main trail and the snake trail to welcome home.  a couple times i was lucky enough to hitch all the way up the road to the back gate again to avoid the climb.

in america,

a rainbow gathering is a 100% free public event held on national forest land july 1st thru the 7th in a different region every year.  there are no centralized leaders, organizing body, and all are welcome.  food is cooked communally in large scale kitchens, and clean drinking water is provided by gravity fed spring taps which run for acres across the site.  all food is provided through donations on the individual and small group level, and is FREE.  same goes for filtered water.  the exchange of money on any level is discouraged, although there are no official rules of conduct, only suggested 'raps' or guidelines.  the gathering draws numbers in the tens of thousands annually, comprised of hippies, punks, road dawgs, backpackers, eco freeks, weirdos, and pretty much every other type of person you can imagine.

really that only comprises a tiny slice of what the gathering is,

and if you ask ten different people, you'll probably get ten different answers.

Sounds neat

Welcome man
