Formal invitation
    #9230623 -

i´m taking part in organizing this artistic event in Barcelona, it´s a part of a bigger project called CUE taking place in more cities around the world (Berlin, Madrid, Riga, Salamanca, Rotterdam and Cairo) we meet each first Friday of the month in different spaces (we try to connect as many cities with a live video feed and a projector).

the idea basically is to give a space for spontaneous expression using all artistic platforms and improvisation (video, dance, poetry, play, music, photography and anything ales really) and non artistic
whatever material goes out of this project is under the Creative Commons licence.

this project has many social political connotations and deals with our current social structures, trying to develop new ways to deal with this big changes we´re going through right now. its also a sort of space for exploration of human interaction.

there´s a whole lot more to say about this but i feel like i´m taking part in something that truly has the potential to make change...

so this is an official invitation for any future CUE productions, if you find this might be relevant to any of your artists friends that might want to collaborate please pass on the word!

our web site for CUE Barcelona (in Catalan/Spanish but has a few pictures and links)
and the website for the whole project CUE if-you-need (in English)

this is a picture of me last Friday

Wow. Sounds really cool man. If I were a visual artist  I would love to participate. As is, I might like to just check out the live feed sometime.

in my city, there is an event the first friday of every month called first friday.

all the art galleries are open and maps are printed up with all the different shows.  most spaces have little parties.

i don't give a shit though 95% of it is crap.

I lived in Barcelona for five years. I wish I had heard of this back then.

its a new project, it started in Berlin about a year and a half ago and my girlfriend started it here in barcelona four months ago...

next week is the fourth edition of the project in barcelona and unfortunatly i don´t think we´ll be able to broadcast it this time... we really need help with these things as well as people with video cameras that can later also edit and upload the metirial.

but for now the feeling is that we´re still learning with each edition, the spaces change and we get to meet more and more people that are really excited to help.

it´s amazing when you finelly get to the night and people are flipping out with what you´ve made possible

Maybe you should try and hold some kind of event near the time the Bread and Butter Fashion festivals are held.

Now that most of them have moved out of Germany there are a lot of people that fly over on purpose for the festival, and I'm sure many would love to visit your show.

our event is not a ¨show¨ it´s more of a laboratory...
i actually suggested last night that we make a gathering (i was thinking something like shroomery gathering) for this project and to host it here in Barcelona.

i´m internetly challenged at the moment but maybe when i get a normal connection back i could share some videos of what´s going on in our world

anyway if you log on today in about 6-7 hours from now you could possibly watch some of the cities live on the internet Madrid and Berlin for sure... as today is the first friday of the month.

we´ve had another city to join our ranks for this edition and it´s Palermo Italy
i hope they´ll have a good one!

sooooo... consider yr self invited in case you´re in one of these cities or just want to tune in live.
