So the toaster wasnt designed to do that?

:whatever:

Take it apart and I'm sure you will see that the burners have been altered.

1.Use a small torch to toast the image of jesus onto the bread

2.Place your messiah toast next to a toaster

3.??????????????????????

4.Profit.....prophet?

actually, you put butter on the parts you dont want to burn

I understand that you can't outlaw religion (or anything for that matter) and expect it to work.

I just really don't see the point of religion in todays society.

well weight would be one way to measure that mass

Are you implying then that mass and matter are interchangeable?

How would you measure its mass then?

i empathize, however the same could be said about almost anything, including society itself.

i charge it to this: some people need to grasp onto the idea of a higher power to function.

i just grasp on the power to function, and enrich my life with it.

but at the end of the day, its both self enrichment.

and that's not a bad thing.

What your referring to is channeling the bad nature of humans through religion.  and its very true that evil and religion are very compatible, but they are still separate.

Then how would you differentiate between mass, and matter?

First you must both define, and quantify matter and mass.

Short answer......

Collide two beams of light in a vacuum.

If you'd like to get into greater detail, the science forum awaits. It really is very interesting....though very very confusing stuff.

What exactly would outlawing religion accomplish?

It isn't conversion of matter, its conversion of energy into matter.

was already occuring, how many people have been warned/banned
for derailing threads in the off topic forums, you know, the
ones for general discussion...

or are you trying to derail this derailment?

This thread is ridiculous.
Starting a war against religion to stop wars about religion is not the most brilliant idea.
You're saying people should stop having the right to believe what they want. In other words : they have to believe what you believe. Sounds more like a religion than anything else I can think of.
