Incubation Chamber question
    #935902 - 10/06/02 03:23 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

How do I set up a incubation chamber for a horse poo casing? And how about the fruiting chamber does it have to be different humidity than the cakes needed? How do I get the right humidity the best?

Ill gladly help out. After you mix poo with crumpled case just place it in a dark place with alum. foil on it. No need for chamber unless you live in a real cold place and temp is real low. Its about 90 here so its prime. If you have low temp there are many ways you can raise it for primo conditions: heating pad, etc. Yes the terrarium has to have different relative Hum than cakes. It doesnt need the 100 % humidity cakes need. Simply place colonized shit in a rubbermaid, spray down the walls, and give it light is sufficient.

Buy two identical rubbermaids, say the 18 gal size. Take container A and put your poo and cakes and do what you do to make what you want (spawn the cakes with the poo). Take container B and fill it 1/3 with water and some peroxide. Place a submergeable fish tank heater in container B and then place container A into container B. The water will fill up the sides between B and A so you get a nice even temp distribution.
