Slideshow Software?

Can someone please suggest good software (freeware preferably) that enables me to make slideshows with special effects, music, and image editing? My aim is to burn it to DVD and play on TV.

Previously I was using "MemoriesOnTV". I've recently tried to get a few programs via torrents, but trojans quickly became a real issue to deal with.
