Free art programs?
    #3282658 - 10/27/04 03:00 AM (17 years, 2 days ago)

Are there any free art programs I can download? I already have Photoshop 7 and GIMP 2.0, but I was looking for other programs to supplement these, with features they don't have. For example, things like fractal generators, or a kaleidoscope feature.

Ultra fractal is a great program for working with fractals. Although its not free, there is a free trial download available.

There's also ChaosPro a freeware fractal program. Their site has a listing of other fractal programs and their status, which can be found here .

Have fun.

I'm pretty sure there are probably fractal plugins for the GIMP that are free, but there are dozens of fractal generators out there. Try sourceforge.net, and search for fractal.

I remember playing around with a KDE interface someone made for PovRay, which is a 3d rendering program... I think it was K4DE, but I'm not sure.
