Does anyone have access to a lot of online scientific journals?
    #9341532 -

I'm writing a paper for my Evolution class and I don't have access to an article that I need through my university. I know different universities have access to different resources. If you think you can help out, please shoot me a PM.

I'll go ahead and list the articles I'm looking for:

"Chromosome numbers, genome sizes, cell volumes and evolution of snake-head fish (family Channidae"

"Phylogenetic and Ecological Significance of Channidae (Osteichthyes Teleostei) from the Early Eocene Kuldana Formation of Kohat, Pakistan."

"Migration history of air-breathing fishes reveals Neogene atmospheric circulation patterns."

"The Evolution and Interrelationships of the Actinopterygian"

If you can find full text for ANY of those articles that would be super awesome

I couldn't find any full electronic texts for them, but most of those are from fairly well distributed journals.

A lot of Universities have pretty big stocks of scientific journals, I know ours is huge.  I would go in with that list, only write down the journal name and the date of publication to your library and see if they can produce it for you

if you have the journals they are in and dates of the articles, it would be easier for me to search

I knew I should have included the journal names/issues/pages.

Here's the list again with all the info:

"Chromosome numbers, genome sizes, cell volumes and evolution of snake-head fish (family Channidae)." Journal of Fish Biology. Volume 33 Issue 5, Pages 781 - 789

"Phylogenetic and Ecological Significance of Channidae (Osteichthyes Teleostei) from the Early Eocene Kuldana Formation of Kohat, Pakistan." Contributions from the Museum of Paleontology 28, no. 5 (1991): 93–100.

"Migration history of air-breathing fishes reveals Neogene atmospheric circulation patterns." Geology; May2004, Vol. 32 Issue 5, p393-396, 4p, 1 graph

"The Evolution and Interrelationships of the Actinopterygian." Bull. Museum of Comparative Zoology. 150:95-197

Give me a sec, I work for a university so I have access to a fuck load of journals.

EDIT: well I guess I'm not going to be of any help, remote login keeps kicking me out.

The other 3 were a no-go for me.  If you go to WorldCat and search for them by title, you should be able to see a list of libraries that have the articles.  I guess you might have to go buy the book that the article was published in, because they don't seem to be in any electronic databases. :sherlock:

Have fun

Thanks again everybody for the effort. I've decided to call off the search. I managed to finish my paper without them, I just went with a broader topic.
