Can someone help me out with wheat berries?

I've heard they're just as good as rye and since I haven't been able to find rye lately I figured I'd give them a shot. I can't seem to find any information on how much water to use or if I should treat them exactly like rye. I tried searching but found a lot of conflicting information. Some sites say to simmer them, others say boil...so I'm kinda lost. Does anyone have good experience with them?

Also, in an old thread someone mentioned hard and soft wheat berries. How do you tell the difference if the supplier doesn't specify which they are?

Just like you would rye or WBS...Or any grain.

Soak for 24 hours
Simmer for around 1 hour
Let them drain in a colander for 30 minutes to 1 hours, and then pressure cook for 90 minutes.

spawn is spawn but the type you use makes preparing it different.

wheat is just like rye. soak then simmer for a short while and then bring that to a boil for a few minutes drain and let dry. then jar it.

just control yourself on the simmering process. dont make any wheat explode.

I soaked hard winter wheat berries and rye beries (two different jars)at the same time once.
Brought to a gentle boil for ten minutes in two different pots. Strained, jarred, p.c.'ed 60 min and let cool. Then shot both up at the same time from the same needle. Both the rye and wheat grew myc at the same rate. I finished that grow using the "bulk neglect tek" very impressed with the results.

I use wheat in my grow bags.1 cup grain 2/3 cup water.
