What a great movie.

But seriously it was plenty enough to make me never want to do heroin. Every time I think about it I just remember that movie, and recall a conversation I had with HappyTrippin about smack right before he OD'd. I think we have to draw a line with how far we take our indulgences you know? I love the way certain drugs make me feel but I know there is far greater satisfaction out there. You just have to remember that you're risking your life for a little bit.. well ok, maybe a lot... of satisfaction. I like holding myself back from the heavier stuff though, it gives me my own form of satisfaction in knowing that I'm capable of resisting the temptation.

Now crack on the other hand...

hey man atleast you can afford something like suboxone the most helpful of them all...... alot of people get stuck with methadone which makes matters ten times worse... then you have to kick fucking methadone which is terrible....

if thats true, take advantage of the suboxone thats good stuff thats not available to everyone

I've seen Trainspotting, Requiem For A Dream, several other films and TV shows I'm sure, read Clive Barker's Damnation Game and others, all negative stories - but I have to say that I am still curious and willing to try. If there's a history of people enjoying something, particularly something so profoundly affecting, I can't put it out of my mind to see what that's like.

If I did it, I would try chasing the dragon, because I'm not too keen on the idea of shooting up (and puncture marks) and I like to donate blood from time to time. How does this method compare, for those here who have tried?

And how likely is the first time of any intake method to create unavoidable addiction?

i found eating it and snorting it to do pretty much the same things eating tho lasted a bit longer and slower come on, while snorting quicker come on. i never really got addicted or got with draw one bag always did it for me, but people fed me drugs for the most party i never really seeked it out.

me too. I'm really curious to see what it feels like. I was the same way with LSD before I tried that: I had to know for myself.

I'd prefer to shoot it, however.

one use won't get you physically addicted, but mentally- you'll remember that high forever. its very likely that it will be in the back of your head enough that you will talk yourself into trying it again..........and again.........and again.

Snorting it is somewhat similar to oxy, but it's more sedating.  Banging it is a whole nother playing field.  Once you bang it, you would NEVER willingly want to sniff it again.  And if you had done oxy's, once you bang dope, oxy's won't do SHIT like they used to.

The rush from banging it comes on like a wave of warmth in your face.  And you feel your brain get kinda fuzzy in a nice really warm way.  It's like a light-headed feeling, difficult to describe, but that's the 'rush'.  Your face also gets itchy along w/ being very warm.  It's pure and total euphoria that you will not reach w/ sniffing or oxy's.  Once the rush wears off, if you've done alot, then the nods come on.  I'm not gonna explain that - but yea, it's a great feeling.

I did oxy's for like 2 years and my habit worked up to like 1-2 [80's] a day.  Then I started sniffing dope which lasted for a month.  The dope in my area is bomb shit and cheap.  Then I banged it and I was blown away.  At first I needed so little, but that changed quick.  I bought an oxy during that time and couldn't believe how WEAK it seemed, sniffing a whole 80 in 1 wack.  Anyways within a month, my tolerance w/ banging dope was up like 3-4 fold, which sucked.

I did it for about 4 months and knew I had to cut the shit.  I was always good when I took days off oxy w/ suboxone, no problem - but once I was banging dope, taking that off day w/ sub, I still felt like garbage.  But about a year ago I finally snapped out of it and REALLY WANTED to stop, which is what is necessary to do it.  You can't just stop cuz you have no money, or you can't get anything - you gotta want it.  And I've been taking suboxone ever since, real small amount a day, and I feel great. 

I've done dope twice since, and it just wasn't the same.  I felt guilty doing it, and just knew it was a really bad idea.  So I've been clean and things are fine now.  It was fun while it lasted, but it's a very dangerous thing.

1st of all codeine has a ceiling effect, and at that ceiling it wouldn't be anything CLOSE to heroin.  If you've done dope and this is your comparison, you had some garbage.

EDIT: I'm gonna edit this after further thought, because if you've only sniffed dope, and didn't do much - I could see how it would maybe be somewhat similar to you [although I still wouldn't agree].  Snorting a nice amount of dope, or banging ANY amount - codeine couldn't hold a candle to it.

i guess if your shooting it. i have ODed on codine and on dope and still found it to be way similar tho i would prefer codeine. as i said earlier i never was an addict so when it comes done to it i highly doubt i have taken anywhere need the doses you have or wish to.
