Come on,really. Legal junk. We already have booze and you've seen what that can do to people.

If you could walk into a shop and get it people who were feeling temporarily low might try and console themselves with it.

And of course the people who would try it for the hell of it since they don't have to associate with undesirables. Legalisation is not the answer.

Maybe some kind of halfway thing where they give it to people who are already stuck on it. With all the necessary strict regulations and whatnot.

adults should be able to decide for themselves what they use.  if we can choose to use alcohol we should also have the choice to use heroin. 

i guess this is just my opinion, but jesus i dont see how everyone doesnt get this.

you realize that some people think that cannabis is JUST as bad as heroin?  those people think those of us that want cannabis legal are insane.

drugs are drugs are drugs...sure some are more addictive and some are more harmful, but we should have the fucking right to choose for ourselves.  free country my ass.  if this place were free we would be able to make decisions that some people think are wrong.

Legal heroin would most certainly bring any country to its knees or at the very least wind it.

Will I work today? Fuck work,I'm gonna shoot smack because I don't give a fuck about anything anymore and I'd much prefer to just be smacked and do nothing.

Yes,adults should be able to weigh out the pros and cons but it doesn't always work that way does it.

i just highly doubt that everyone and their mom is gonna go try some H just because it is legal.

That's retarded.  Legalization or no, if people want to to get fucked up they will.  The same losers you say will decide to get fucked up instead of going to work would be doing it with heroin anyway, or alcohol.

I'm not saying heroin should be legal like candy at the quickie-mart, but users should not be imprisoned just for using.  It should be heavily regulated and there should be clinics to help people, not incarcerate them.

If you think people should be put in jail for choosing to put something in their own body, you are worthless scumbag waste of skin and should go kill yourself.

yeah i completely agree with your first sentence.

i believe it should be highly regulated as well...perhaps not as easily available as alcohol, but still available and not punishable by law.

and yeah jail and prison is the last place for junkies...unless they have killed someone or some serious shit...most just keep to themselves and waste away tho.

its sorta hard because i believe in the freedom to choose and try everything aswell but i've seen so so much death and misery from it and then i think of china and the epidemic they had with it and their solution to it and here where i live its called the 'sister city' to vietnam

i agree fully about all drugs.  Illegalizing chemicals to try and save people is on par with making it a law to wear your seatbelt, which is also retarded.  I don't need the many levels of our govt. to protect me in my day to day life, I am an adult and that is for me to do.  I would still wear a seatbelt even if i didn't have to, and the peoplpe that choose not to and die in an accident, that is their problem...soon, the only people left would be those smart enough to wear them.

History has shown that prohibition causes many more problems than legalization, this is an ages old argument.  When alcohol prohibition was happening, there were gangs that formed around distributing, al capone and all his fellows.  When legalized, these gangs lost their main moneymaker, and sure, some people have problems with it, some people do it socially and have no real problem with it, and some people completely abstain, and the same could be said for heroin.

I think at first there would be a higher level of OD's and a higher level of people that used it, but over time, people would learn how to regulated themselves just as we as a people have with alcohol, and the deaths/problems would level out, and would be about the same as they are with alcohol IMO, which is much less than the number of problems caused by the drug cartels all the way down to the street level peddlers carrying guns and blasting each other.  Also, the people that cannot control themselves/cannot handle having access to such a thing, won't be fit for the days society, just as hardcore alcoholics are today. they are the ones that are normally standing on the road asking for money to buy some booze...they just didn't make it, and couldn't handle it, while harsh,t hats the truth, the fittest woud make it out just fine.

i think its estimated at like 400,000 a year die from smoking cigs.

Haha I didn't say anything about anyone deserving jail for anything.

True enough,everyone has a right to their own bodies and anything they should want to put in it as long as it doesn't interfere with anyone or anything else.

Instead of imprisoning simple users/junkies,they should be sent off to rehab to try and get their lives back on track instead of compounding the problem by jailing them where the problem is likely to get worse.

Yeah, but people justify this by the death from cigs being indirect.  I can overdose on alcohol in a single session and binge drink myself to death.  I can inject enough heroin to kill me on the spot.  Cigs just give me lung disease, cancer, etc. that i die from, and for some reason, this is not as bad...lol...dumb logic, but how its justified.
