I want to learn how to be a 'nutter'
    #9183510 -

Being too rational sometimes hurts me in my dealings with others.

How do I become emotional and fly off the handle for no apparent reason and adopt unsubstantiated beliefs and defend them in the face of contravening evidence?

How can I take everything personally and misinterpret everyone's actions as being for or against me?

Is there a secret to becoming a wing nut and incorporating deep paranoia and suspicion into everyday activities?

How can I trick myself into believing in 2012 as special and life-after-death and serendipity and so forth?

I want to be 'normal'! :hissyfit:

Smoke some crack. Smoke a lot of crack, then withdraw for 10 days then take a huge honk of your crackpipe. You'll probably go barking, at least for a while

Thanks for the helpful hint, but as most wackazoids are not crackheads, are you sure this is the path?

I dunno, I'd wager that most wackos have been hopelessly addicted to crack at least once in their lives.

Constant, high-dosing of psychedelics while obsessively reading Be Here Now and the Bible.  Switch it up occasionally with brief forays into the Upanishads and Raelian texts; no mystic worth the soles on his sandals can afford to be completely consistent.  Combine, shake, and sprinkle with a dash of petulance and hankering towards riches; filter through a net of charisma (study a photograph of Rasputin daily and mix with flagellant penances as the scars will attract the women); and finally wrap up and serve with a catchy name that's descriptive enough to catch the eye of New Agers while not elucidative enough to give away all your secrets at the get-go.

If you like this method, please send a check for $29.99 to Cypher, c.o. the Mushroom Gods.  No refunds unless you can demonstrate that you're still your stodgy old self after adhering to this regime for thirty days.

TV is your friend, especially any show about paranormal and conspiracy theories, as well as trash TV like Jerry Springer.  Then, be sure to soften your mind with copious cannabis use.  Finally, make nutter friends.  Like minded individuals can be found under highway overpasses, in storm drain culverts, and at conventions oriented around the above mentioned and similar subject matter.

Good Luck!

It is possible to be an optimistic and agnostic wing-nuit.

Read everything by Crowley, Leary, R.A. Wilson and C.S. Hyatt and actually practice some of the exercises.

From my observations of you here and in private you seem to be already there. (Especially in your personal life )

I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”
