newby after some uk advice

Hi i am new to the forum but been finding it a useful source of info over the Autumn month. and was wondering if i had some little nippled friends that looked like those shown in the pics, would they be safe to dry and make tea with, any advice would be very welcome, not sure if Im breaking any rules here, the info required is for research purposes only honest.

Yeah, if you can get those pictures on that'd be great so we can help you ID, If they are Liberty Caps which I assume you think they are then if you dry them and brew them into a tea you'll have a nice time, there should be some posts around this site on different ways to consume our little friends.

They are almost certainly libs as far as I can tell, you should really take a spore print to be sure, and also wait for more opinions.

yes cheers m8. i have a couple of spore prints under way. how long will they keep if i dry them out on paper as shown in the pic ?
and how many for a strong trip ?

Don't know about dosage as i'm a newb myself, I would suggest leaving them for several days to dry if you are just air drying though. Those look very much like the libs down my way, you anywhere near London?

if its a strong trip your after then just eat them all,it may be a bit frightening but it wont harm you.
if you just want a regular trip eat somewhere around the 50 mark.

ignore the dosage above.. dry them out and do it by weight. you have some decent sized libs there, so it would be best to weigh them rather than just chomping down idley.

1gram of libs is a safe first trip, still very enjoyable and should be pretty visable (low level 2), 2 grams kicks you into a low level 3 trip, and any more than that would be unwise for a first trip.

they're far more potent than you would imagine - i'd say getting on for twice as strong as cubensis, IMO

nice advice thnx.  i will let them dry out hopefully have 1 half g.
when i make a tea should they go in when tea is luke warm. i heard some where that boiling water will kill the fruity fun.

Yeah I've never brewed them in 10 years of journeying. I just eat 'em. (well, chop into little bits and swallow with juice/water without chewing lol).

Dried weight can be deceiving methinks because dry weight means cracker dry and conventional (laid out in the air) will remove most but not all of the moisture.

I've always gone along with the guidelines 30 for a mellow buzz, 50 for your average medium strength trip and 80 to knock your socks off. Of course different batches can vary in potency however -but that has always served me good.

If you've not done many before I'd build up to that (80) so you know what to expect, some people show the sacred mushroom no respect and it ends up putting them off.

Roughly, of course how many mushrooms does 1g/ 2g dried equate to?

I've always done by the number but 'SWIM's monster hauls this season and need/ease of storage demand he does by weight this time round. SWIM is awaiting his scales to be returned, was going to do an average of several batches of 50

oh yeah, jay p theyre all libs, the only one Im doubtful of is the cap with no stem on the top left of the first picture, but may just be because cant see it right.

I pretty sure its the same as the other shrooms. stem been cut off in the hope of a spore print. (not very successfull :crazy2:)
