Wish i'd have seen that before i bought one from mushroompeople for $120. I got a 16" though. Still way cheaper than fp. Just a word about harbor freight. Most of there items are factory reconditioned. Meaning they were defective or returned and fixed in the factory. But i've never had any trouble with the power tools i've gotten from them.

Hrm. I was just going to go with the EuroSealer. Is it really up to the task? It seems extremely simply to apply low heat to a strip of plastic....
Is there something seriously deficient about it?

As excellent an author and mycoculturist Stamets is, most of the items sold by his company - Fungi Perfecti - are absolute rip-offs.
If you're looking for anything mushroom-related that would have another use, don't go to FP. Their prices are usually several times what you would pay elsewhere for the same thing. I think he asks almost $200 for what he calls a 'Euerbach container' when it's just an old-style blender container... Look around on the web before you buy from him...maybe some real competition would make him lower his prices to something more reasonable.
