Apathy, angst, cynicism, and general dissatisfaction.
    #9155433 -

maybe its just the time of year, but i am having a lot of the things found in the subject line haunt me lately... it's pretty persistant, too. i'm trying not to be a drama queen here... i mean i generally deal with this shit pretty well... i drag my ass through the day to day, but never really find true acceptance or peace in anything.

i smoked pot a lot for a while, which helped me deal with it... it made it easier to stay in a sort of denial state where i didnt have to acknowledge how i felt most of the time. but eventually this led to the same feelings while smoking daily, and then i started to feel crazy for medicating with medication that doesnt seem to work.

so i stopped smoking, and for a short while things were better because of the contrast... now everything has gone back to the way it was... i cant feel much joy or enjoyment unless im caught completely offguard by unexpected events. anything that i premeditate at all seems very unsatisfying... so much so that i dont even bother to do the things i think of because i know how unsatisfying they will be. (that even includes smoking pot now that its not a regular habit)

im not really looking for answers... im sure no one has any. i know all about the self help methods... i generally persist upon myself to eat very healthy, though that has dropped off now that im in this funky space again.. so i guess i could say i eat healthy sometimes, a lot more than i used to atleast.

and i know about yoga and meditation and all that. i know about self expression, and i do my fair share of it. it's just that it doesnt seem to make a difference. and i don't seem to DO a lot of these things because its so hard to find the motivation when im feeling the various states described in the subject...

i know that this is the average american's syndrome.

i know that most people have adjusted to it even, and have somehow allowed these feelings to create a hardened shell of jaded acceptance... but i cant even seem to come up with that, because i want to much to maintain myself as an open person at the same time.

i cant close down, and i cant stay open. i'm caught in the middle, fluctuating like mad, endlessly.

i guess i was just wondering how everyone else deals with this... is it just "do something that makes you forget about it for a while" over and over and over again? that's what most people i know seem to do.

fuck it. i'm sure many of those who can relate will flame me and make fun of me, because their jaded, hardened shell exteriors have been designed to reflect just this sort of thing.

but i thought id try this anonymous bullshit, just for the hell of it. nothing else works... might as well try the whiney emo bitch route.

Makes me feel better about myself, and my roll in this forum, when I can break a weak sad little bitch's spirit,(kind of like the one you got) and then turn him into a fucking raving madman hell bent on trying to kick ol Tyrone in dees nuts.

But as all you little mark ass buster bitches realize sooner or later;

AT DA END OF DA DAY...........DEES NUTS ARE UNKICKABLE!!!

It "doesn't make a difference" yet you don't seem to do a lot of those things you mentioned yourself?  You're being contradictory. How does that make sense?  You either do them regularly, and see how it helps your life, or you don't do them, and you don't know like you think you do.

You said you're not motivated?  You know what you have to do.  Dredge up some motivation.  Nothing worthwhile in life is easy.  You have to choose joy.

Dude, everyone knows you're a fucking worthless troll. Signing "Tyrone" at the bottom of your posts is basically the equivalent to saying "Ignore me."

So what's the point??

first a message to tyrone: you're first post was actually kind of nice in your own "tyrone" sort of way. I'm suprised. I mean, it was terrible advice, but at least u answered whole heartedly.

To the OP: We would need to know more, but I might suggest looking into what uni-polar depression is (or just "depression"). Losing interest in activities, loathing routines, etc etc etc, these are some telltale signs. Give it a go, it's not "emo" at all. Don't be ashamed. and cannabis is the shit, but it doesn't really help depression for a fully functioning person living in our society.

Our society sucks ass.  If you don't "fit in" you got a mental illness.  I think society is the blight itself.

Whenever I see long depressing posts like this I always think "man you just think too much."

Think less, do more.  Do stuff you think you can't do; soon you'll find you've become someone else.

life sucks man. It does. No one is happy. There are temporary times of feeling happiness, but in the end no one is actually happy.

We live in a fucking shitty society.

You can either take that in a bad way or a good way tho. I;ve come to terms with it. Im very content with myself, my life, and eventually my death.

Life is not about finding happiness. You never will. Its about becoming content, like truely content, with your life, with yourself, and with everything throughout your life, including your death.

Search for acceptance instead of happiness. Not anyones acceptance of you, tht doesnt mean shit. I mean true acceptance of who u are and the life u live.

some people's brains are wired to think "too much", its a little difficult to change that..
whoever said just stop thinking so much can shut the fuck up.
OP: i understand what yer sayin man
the only thing keeping me alive for now is my family. it would probably seem selfish of me to just throw away the gift my parents gave me (life) but i feel like nobody could ever understand.
i don't really have any advice because im not sure what keeps me going.
just know yer not the only one
