Getting old and dissatisfaction with life

I'm getting old and I don't like it and there is nothing I can do about.  It gives me anxiety to know my best years were behind me and all that lies ahead are responsibilities and chores.  I have this pit in my stomach that maybe my life thus far has been a waste of time and I should drop my concerns about money and status and do something I actually care about.  I don't want to sit behind a desk for the rest of my life rotting away in some big corporation. 

It's not a dissatisfaction with life i'm feeling, its a dissatisfaction with the lifestyle i'm living and I don't have the balls to change it.

How old are you? What makes you think getting older and having a corporate job means a shitty life? It's not like that at all, you can do whatever you want.

There is a fine line. You are always going to have to put in some amount of work to continue your life, and it is up to you to make yourself happy.
Maybe try to affect a succession of tiny changes instead of grappling with the entirety of your life.
And don't be so sure that a change in lifestyle will affect you more than a simple change in perspective.

Bullshit. Sure you do. In fact once you lock on target it's IMPOSSIBLE to prevent yourself from going for it. Of course if you don't even have a target, indeed you lack the balls to move, because you have no clear direction to move to.

Sitting behind a desk. Sounds like a easy ass job to me. I work outside.

Sitting at desks is NOT easy. Gives one ALL the time in the world to overthink everything 11 times over. I'd take more active jobs any day. Within reason of course.
