Anyone feel cynical about sober people?

Do you?  I'm talking of course about people that don't even occasionally indulge in marijuana or alcohol or xanax or opiates. what do you think? :hulk:

Cynical? How so..."Like they're so sober I hate them."....

I feel happy to be who I am, if anything. I feel I have a much broader perspective of life than most sober people, not all of course.

It's exciting to know I've seen different dimensions when sober people are always stuck in theirs.

I am jealous of the types that can go to a bar without drinking or getting uberly tanked.  I'm jealous of the friends of mine that don't need to indulge in other recreational drugs to have a good time.  I know they'd have a good time if they indulged but if they don't there isn't that monkey on their back whispering sweet nothings about the opiate high every day.

Still, I am who I am and do enjoy my droogz

cynical? not really. i do sort of distrust them, but i also distrust abusers too. i like the people who dont have mad addictions but are willing to smoke and drink with me on weekends.

the sober ones always pretend to be cool about others using substances, but as soon as you get in an argument with one, they bring it up like, "well at least i'm not a drug addict," even though i'm not addicted to anything. i haven't met many straight-up sober people though. everyone either smokes, drinks, takes adderall, or does some kinda shit.

Nah, I judge a person on other things not whether or not they use drugs or booze.  I don't like the preachy types like your not cool unless you do drugs or don't do drugs.

Fuck preachers.  We're better off without them.

When I'm on something, I look down on sober people.

When I'm sober, I look down on no good druggies.

I keep it balanced like that.

Usually people like that are really close-minded, high-strung, and intolerant; so i don't get along with them in the first place.

11 is not a hypocrite.  If you don't have contradictions constantly, your worldview is not complex enough.  Contradictions are a sign of intelligence if their are rigorous enough.

Why not be cynical?
It just means that you believe people are motivated mostly by selfish concerns.
For former drug-addicts who have since sobered themselves, they are being completely selfish.
People stay sober because they believe it is in their best interest.

For the most people I don't trust those people.
it's different if someone doesn't do drugs just because it's not their thing ,but they are cool with it but even those people occasionally toke up. but people who've never tryed anything a think drugs are satan will narc you out without thinking twice and they'll feel good about too like they just did a service to society.

I think sober people have the right not to put anything into their bodies, just as we [should] have the right to put whatever we want into our own.


If they are consistently bragging about their sobriety it's annoying. However, I believe it shows strength that they can admit they were very weak at one point and were able to overcome such an obstacle.
