personally i would never call colin powell a liberal.. but given the far-right inclinations of most of the ppl on this board..im prolly in the minority..which is the topic of our poll...

he's a moderate Republican. Not everyone fits into "liberal" or "conservative" categories - there are those in the middle that hold ideas and beliefs of both ideologies.

No, you need to talk to the crowd to get any of those directly. Thanks to this presidential campaign, and MSM, I don't know who the real Americans are anymore. I think it would, will be, unlikely to actually see anyone in the camp directly say anything that brash.

Powell is not liberal, less conservative. He's shown moderate tendancies throughout his carreer. It seems that his tendancy to actually think about things and change his mind according to new situations makes him appear more liberal than conservative to some pundits who have been writing on this issue the past few days.

Nope. She lets the audience say it, repeat it, then go to their home neighborhood and destroy car tires with the wrong bumper sticker.

We have a lot of people who don't read and hold strong views in the south. Implying is just as good as saying to many of these people.

that's odd because where I'm at there's lots of people that
read, nice friendly folks that may have strong views but they
dont shoot you in the back because you have expressed them,
they simply hold on to their strong views and live their own
lives

McCain has called Obama's economic positions "socialist" and McCain's brother has called northern Virginia which is polling in favor of Obama as "communist country."

McCain's campaign has definitely attempted to paint Obama as a terrorist with their guilt-by-association negative ads/robocalls.

Palin has insinuated the parts of the country that are pro-Obama are, basically, anti-American.
