In my experience they move around...

Where I found lots last year, I may not find any this year.
I think patches have a life cycle.  Some last a few years, some only one season.
Some only one huge flush, some continuous flushes.

Just keep looking...today I found a small patch and over 80% were too rotten to pick

Yeah they grew in my yard last year but I havent seen any yet

The mushrooms are just using up the nutrients in the substrate, once the nutes are all used up no more shrooms.

Some patches can last up to ten years ive read but average 2-5.

I have yet to find any cyans even thought they grow here. Some of my friends say that they find them in my area all the time but I dont know where to look. Ive tried woodchips and grassy areas by the road. They say that they can always find some next to blackberry bushes? IS this true for you guys as well?

What kind of trees do they tend to grow by?

You can sign up for a growery account and include the pics from there.

Sometimes I use photobucket and that also works well.

For all the Seattle area people, I found what I believe to be Cyans (my first) - although someone please correct me if I'm wrong.  They are small but bring a message of hope!

Don't stress about how I dug it up - I was looking for a culture and aside from what you see, didn't take anything else.  Respect always..

Cheers

Those do not appear to be cyans in my opinion. The caps are to buldging, and large. Unless they're super cyans.

Maybe he didn't want to show his finger prints to any officers.
