Storage of sterilized substrate jars

Just out of curiosity, could you store sterilized quart jars of rye grain or birdseed for innoculation at a later date?? And if so, how would u do it, in the fridge??

be careful about storing in the fridge, it harbors many baddies. usually, if i dont use a jar within 10 days, i dump it and start again....just to be safe.
