i remember all too well, and probably. RtS has to be my least favorite i think.

i was actually on a zakk wylde site, i don't remember if it was when blacklabelsociety.net was the only one up or if it was after deege split and made sdmfworldwide. i remember deege called his uncle and told him dimebag had been shot at the alrosa villa gig along with vinnie and a few others and that dime was dead.. he posted it as soon as deege called him, it was an hour or so before CNN picked up the story. that night really fucking sucked.

I've seen Pantera 4 times. This is how my favorite show of thiers started.

best of all time? I really like pantera's Vulgar Display of Power. I also enjoy Job for a Cowboy quite a bit. I've been out of the metal scene for a while, so don't know much of the newer stuff, oh, and whoever said Black Dhalia Murder, I have their most recent album, and its alright, but not the best....

its hard to put a best on any genre, but best genre, is definitely Metal IMO.

Well, best is too objective of a term, and my answer would be flawed as I have not listened to every "metal" (quoted to imply all its sub-genres) album.

To the point, my favorite "metal" album would probably be A Blaze In The Northern Sky by Darkthrone.

On the other hand, influence is important and thus, I deem We Sold Our Soul For Rock'n'Roll by Black Sabbath as the most influential.

Darkest Day of Horror by Mortician.

I guess it's kind of grindcore/metal but it's so dope. "The Bloodseekers" is my favorite song on that album. Their drummer is insane! All of their albums are really good though, it's hard to pick just one.
