I thought some of you guys might be interested in this. I have a new book coming out in a month or two.

Hopefully this is the right forum to post this. I haven't been here in a year or so.

  Christianity and the Piltdown Hoax share many similarities: In both stories the information was constructed and then salted into the information stream, and, through the word of noted scholars, presented as fact, the truth. Scholars have egos and once committed to their ideas through scholarly publications, faculty meetings, and conferences, have difficulty seeing, hearing, or even appreciating an adverse view. It is no longer theory. The questions Irvin asks is this: “If mind-altering substances did play this major role, then how would this affect our interpretations of the Bible and the Qur’an? Would this shed light on the origins of mystical experiences and the stories, for example Abraham hearing voices and Ezekiel’s convenient visions? What would this suggest about the shamanic behavior of Jesus? What impact would this have on organized religion? These are bold questions. This is a very useful volume for those interested in the Holy Mushroom, Amanita muscaria, and the politics of truth. Detailed and wonderfully illustrated; great bibliography.

We all have a right to believe whatever we want, but this is a good example of why certain drugs that could help heal our society aren't taken seriously.

Try to find the book "Chemical Ecstasy" for a good read of the relationship between true religion and psychedelics.

Funny, isn't that how several of the Dead Sea Scrolls were written - encoded? But what's that got to do with the book mentioned and the academic reviews posted?

There was reason for their encoding, which wouldn't be the same reason for the encoding of the new testament if I understand these claims correctly.

The mentioning of that book is that everybody should read it. :tongue2:

And finally, mushrooms didn't create "Christianity", God created Christianity, and mushrooms too. :thumbup:

But the bible says:

"Exo 20:5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;"

"Exo 34:14  For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:"

"Deu 4:24  For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God."

Could you quote me where it says "god is love and god is good"? I guess I missed that part. But actually, I think Constantine created Christianity at the council of Nicea. That's pretty well established academically speaking. :smile:

I really enjoyed Astrotheology&Shamanism, You make some very strong arguments in it.  It has become obvious to me that these mystical/psychedelic experiences were involved deeply with early religion, and after that everything you describe in Judaism and Christianity is a continuation of that.

For anyone who is skeptical, research into it rather than just denying it.

Huge thanks guys! I'm glad you liked them.

I actually just released a Dutch subtitle version of the Pharmacratic Inquisition to help combat the Dutch government's banning of Psilocybe.

But where is the book that shows the Bible is a load of rubbish?
Someone told me that was coming out.
Then friend told me to just walk around the library....
Anyone know what he means by that??? :confused:

Check out that Pharmacratic Inquisition video I posted. Maybe that's what you're looking for.

Maybe your friend meant that there are so many books out there, published since the early 1800's, that debase the historicity of the Bible. Any good library should have at least a dozen books on the subject.

There's a new book coming out next month by Dr. John Rush called "Failed God".
He discusses the rubishness of the bible, its origins, entheogens/mushrooms, and he is one of the first academics to come out in full support of Allegro. He's found some revealing material from a major Roman cathedral that reveals Jesus with mushrooms. The book will be available Oct. 28:

However great post.
I'm definitely quite fascinated ATM.
I watched some of that doc years ago, but I was not in the mood to learn that day.

So I probably did something stupid like took more opiates and played Civ2 for hours. I'm sure at the time I thought it was a great idea.

This is the same low budget, yet info packed thing I remember right?
Not slick visually, but loaded with info?

That book sounds freaking great. I'll be reading it very soon after it's released without a doubt. Thanks for the awesome recommendation.

Actually, I released a completely new version, completely updated, last year. Now it's only 1.5 hours, not 3.5 hours, but almost all of the same info is there. It's just much more to the point. Much more visually pleasing too.

Go to the www.pharmacratic-inquisition.com website. You can watch it right there for free. You can download the old 2004 version there too, but the old one does have a few errors that are posted on the website.
