Miracle-Gro Moisture control, With Aqua Coir?

has anyone used this? I searched andfound very limited results. Could I use this to case cakes? If you have used it can you post a pic for me?

Yes, people have used it as a casing material. It works just fine. Some people are concerned because of the moisture crystals. Reportedly, they may be carcinogenic.

could i use 2nd or 3rd flush cakes? would it provide nutes to my spent cakes? I wanna use it as a bulk substrate.

I have used post second flush cakes with results, but the yeild was poor. If you have some bulk substrate laying around, you could crumble the cakes as spawn (read FAQ for more info on bulk substrates.) If you really want to case crumbled cakes, go ahead and try with the post second flush cakes. I think the post third flush cakes would be too depleted to do much.

I have used that stuff as a casing layer. It worked suprisingly well! it colonized in a week or less. i'd recommend it!
