I know what you mean with the different mindsets. Lower dose mushrooms definately give that "Enhanced" feeling, where as a good dose of acid gets you to the point where you and all your friends just sit and stare at each other, with big goofy smiles, communication completely un-necessary. Gotta love it...

once, when on 7 grams of mushies, i jumped off a pier into very shallow water naked. i broke my ankle, but i never noticed. only after my friends pulled me out, and i ran around naked telling people i loved them, and hugging them naked, on my broken ankle, did somebody point out it was broken. ended up having to go to the hospital. i hate this fuckin cast, lol

Be careful, delusions of powers will evoke feelings of self-realized prophecy/messiah.
Frued thought so, although not on drugs. Leary fell to this idiocy, (produced some nice stuff though, but while hopping around islands in Central America, him and his group had a friend with a rash (or burn?) and reported later they cured it, one evening, by connecting their force and feeling the cure for this guy), and the guy who wrote One Flew over the Coocoo's Nest, while on his bus (read the book, "Electric Cool-Aid Acid Test), also fell into a belief of irrational super-human power with his theories of gestalts and all.
REad read read history before you believe anything you can concieve of, it'll save you a lot of time and all of the time you read will teach you a lot.

There is something in your brain that stops you from using all your strength in you have, this is so you don't tear your muscles. This is why moms have been shown to have super-human strength when it comes to protecting their children (some have even picked up cars!) this part of the brain is turned off for a short time while "super mom" saves her kid.
Perhaps when your tripping this part of your brain is lessened or turned off, or maybe your just to happy to notice how tired you are
Also, lets not forget that LSD has a speedy aspect to it.
