I lean towards Wiccan_Seeker and Acyl.
I think intelligence is a measure of how quickly one can learn a skill (which includes problem solving) and how well one can integrate those problem solving skills.
I see popular posters who are straightforward, not particularly articulate, but since they post material that's generally agreed upon, people like their opinions and think they're smart. On the other hand, some people are considered idiots just for being arrogant, harsh, etc. (eg. "he gave me a zero rating out of the blue and therefore is an idiot").
The problem, for me, in trying to evaluate who the smartest poster is according to my criteria is that I can't really have much way of knowing how quickly (Acyl or Wiccan_Seeker in my case) learned what they know. All of those who have the potential to learn quickly and apply their skills, but either haven't been highly educated or don't post much, are overlooked.
I do think that being analytical and logical is a part of being intelligent, but this shouldn't be confused with being verbose and pretentious.
