I agree, sounds like rug burn from rough sex. Best thing would be to take a break or just take it slow for a few days, also be sure to use plenty of lube if you are having sex for a long period of time or a few times a day.
If it doesn't get better in another week she should get it checked out, my ex had some gina pains and found out it was a cyst. She was complaining that it hurt a Lot though, they even gave her morphine when she went in to get it looked at it hurt so bad.
