Mushy Jars
    #887241 -

My Little Indian friend prepared about 55 jars and he did not use professional grade masking tape, it appears tat about 25 jars are really mushy is this ok to innoculate,He?s got about 175cc of both B+ and cambodin an wishes to do half and half, should he re-d thses 25 jars looking this way or will it just be a wasted effort with them.

That to me looks like they're too wet. Its hard for the mycellium to penetrate the center of cakes that have turned into a pile of mush. You might get surface colonization but it will never fully colonize to the center. I had this happen with rice once, after weeks of waiting I broke it open to see if there were contams in the middle but instead it was all mushy and wet rice that never got penetrated.

I fucked up one time and had some of my jars get the water from the cooker in them...... They were super wet and when I cleaned out the jars they were mushy shit. If thats what happened to you I'd say throw em away and start over......

This is exactly what some jars I had looked like! ....using brf that is.

Other ones done at the same time with rye flour did not have this happen....the actual brown rice 'flour' was very gritty in texture when rubbed between the fingers, almost like very fine sand. The rye flour is not this same texture.

don't know if this has anything to do with it or not...

i've had super wet ones work great. One guy said it makes them go faster. Did you make your own syringe with those 30 or 60 cc syringes? hope you were steril.

If they are to thick and goopy the mycle/ will not be able to grow quickly if at all.
you need air as well as nutrients for it to grow out.
I would not waste spores on the jars that were that wet. Learn at let learn...
