more spawn = more mushies, or just faster colonize

If you use more spawn in a container, will it result in more mushies than if u had used less, or just faster colonization times. Meaning, if u take a quart jar and spawn 3 containers w. it, would it have been a waste to use it to spawn just one container, cuz u could have gotten a lot more mushies by spawning 3 of em?!?! Just wondering!!

My answer is it just means longer colonization of the substrate. Either way you are still getting mycelium growth throughout the substrate. The substrate is whats going to make a difference on whether or not you get x number of shrooms. The mycelium is using the nutrients from the substrate to grow. By using more spawn you are reducing the chance for contams because the mycelium will be stronger and take over the substrate more quickly

Spawning is what you do to colonize a bulk substrate such as straw or poo, so if you spawn 3 containers of poo with one jar each, it will colonize slower, but in the end you have more colonized substrate from which to fruit, resulting in more mushies.. If you use 3 jars on one container of poo (the same size as one of the 3), it will colonize faster but you are producing less colonized substrate from which to fruit, meaning less mushies. If you meant to ask does using more substrate result in more mushies, than yes.
