Its the great humor from the many posters on this site that keep me addicted.

i'm just as confused as ever...

it seems like her private life is a mess judged by the usual standards we hold politicians to.  she has very little experience... she's a woman?

and thats offset just because she has conservative stances on the issues?

what i'm saying is i can completely understand having a VP with her politcal ideaolgy, but i don't understand why its not an old white guy in a suit whose been in politics a long time, i'm sure they can find something who has her exact same views and fits the above...

i hope you guys can figure out what i'm not quite expressing correctly.

its just fucking wacky to me that this outlandish choice could have worked so splendily.

In a nutshell, she mirrors Obama in almost every way that is negative.  You can't insult her without insulting Obama.  She isn't experienced... either is Obama.  She is a minority, so is Obama.  People that like her are fanatical about it, just like Obama supporters.  The list goes on and on.  At the same time, she balances out McCains "old white guy in a suit whose been in politics a long time" with a fresh new face that has a (short) history of going against the established system.  Most importantly, she takes the talk away from Obama and puts it on McCain.

As I said before, she sealed the election for McCain and the Obama supporters are absolutely freaking out about it.  Look at the vitriol rhetoric the socialists are spouting as proof.  They are freaked out and have nowhere to run.  They are grasping at straws, trying to find something that will make her look bad without damning Obama, and failing miserably.  The best the socialists came come up with is claiming she will be dropped by the McCain campaign in a few days to weeks.  Yeah right...

(I don't care for either Obama or McCain and would urge people to vote 3rd party.)

In the world of politics she is in a minority because there are relatively few women holding office.

I think that is what Seuss was trying to say.

In politics, yes.  How many female presidents have there been?  How many female vice presidents have there been?

> In the world of politics she is in a minority because there are relatively few women holding office.

Just saw your reply, and you are correct.  That is exactly what I was implying.
