Narrowly avoiding being obliterated on the interstate. That usually gets me going.

I've only been in 'blind rage' mode a few times, and they all involved one specific ex.

all of these are soo funny...cause they are true...

the video game one is hilarious...i remeber chucking the controller across the room when some BS would happen...then the controller would come out of the socket and set me off again while i stoop over and plug it back in whilst cursing..

Yeah, I am a pretty passive person by nature, and even in an "enraged" state, I still keep my cool the best I can - at least physically....
I have been in my share of scraps when I was younger, but I wouldn't say that it was ever as a result of being in that state of rage....
Sometimes things just escalate physically, and you have to throw down and get er' dun....  :ohwell:

The pain of me accidentally hurting myself does piss me off quite a bit (followed by a extended string of four letter words),
because it usually is a stoooopid non-paying attention type of thing that could have been easily avoided.....    :lol:

If a chick picks a physical fight with a guy, it's on her.....
It does however piss me off when I see a guy slapping around a woman when she didn't start it, or is not fighting back....   
For me, that is much like abusing a child or an animal, instant rage....
Whether I know the chick being manhandled or not, doesn't matter....


I remember an incident with a past girlfriend....
We had a good night together, and had just gotten busy and were making jokes and laughing in good spirits in the afterglow....
I said something funny/stoopid (like I always do), and she laughed, said "you doof", and lightly slapped me on the side of the head (playfully).....
It flipped the switch in my head, instantly, it makes me see "red"....    :crankey:
I remember looking up at her with just my eyes (in kind of an evil way), and said "don't ever............do that..............again......"
She didn't know up until that point, and maybe I didn't either, but it sure did ruin the rest of that night.....!    :lol:

I can calm myself back down, but it sure is a strange thing how just a little tap can have such an instant dramatic effect like that....
It doesn't even have to hurt....
I don't even think it is disrespect thing for me, it just is....    :ohwell:

Actually, I just thought of one of the few occasions that will make me enraged... waking me up or depriving me of sleep is guaranteed to absolutely tick me off.  A man needs his sleep, goddamnit.

I'm a very calm guy. I have a a TON of patience...probably the only reason I'm still with my crazy gf.

But the ONE thing that makes me see red still to this day....

Is one of my sisters.  She's a narcissist.  I'm not sure if you've ever dealt with one, but it's pretty much the 'I am better than you. I will not lose this discussion/argument/vote....even if you prove that you are right 100%.  Then I will just make fun of you for taking it so serious in the first place."
The funny part is, she's tons of fun when we're not disagreeing or living together.

For me, it is getting slapped in the head or face - even if done innocently or jokingly, by ANYONE....
It is very difficult to shut that switch down once it is activated....

A handful of Xanex and a bunch of beer apparently.  Only time I've ever been in pure rage mode and I don't really even remember it.  Saw (and felt) the repercussions the next day though, it must have been something to behold.

Every intense or aggravating situation otherwise I've handled without crossing the border to any kind of rage.  I fight and react much better when under control (so does anyone who knows better) so I've never had to give in. 

I will get involved if I see a guy hit a girl, or someone abusing an animal however.  I would do so as calm as possible, and handle the situation with as much tact as possible until I have to choke somebody out :tongue:

For reals.

Make friends with lots of girls.  I know two girls that enjoy doing dishes.  Every once in awhile I'll make em come over and do my dishes and I'll cook food.  It works out great.

No.  Only one of them is very reliable, and I'm VERY DEFENSIVE about my dishwashers.  I'll get in a fist fight with someone if they try to steal their services.

But yeah, it can't be that uncommon, right?
