Obama & Oprah
    #8870501 -

Does anyone else think that Obama has only made it this far because he was on oprah?  please let me know if you have ever heard of a one term senator making it into the primary?  I think she is brainwashing house wives all across the country.  im all for the democrat's but he only decided to become president after he was on the show and she said he could be the next president of the U.S. oh and another question if he get's shot who becomes the primary?  Hillary?  i dont think we have ever had to think about that before, but people are already planning it.

people complain that he is inexperienced, including the GOP but no one seems to bitch about the inexperience of mccains VP who also did whatever up in alaska.

umm... i think one of the main reasons hes doing so well is because hes black. never before have so many blacks came out to vote for 1 person. It's become so much more about race then about whos the better candidate.

it's unfortunate, but true IMO

if he gets shot then I would assume hillary would become the democratic nominee.

Heh.  John Mccain has already outlived his expected age of a healthy male born of his generation by *20* years.  And he spent more than a few of those years suffering the worst treatment a human being could have.  He's had cancer four times and suffers from no small shortage of physical maladies.

I think who he chooses for Veep is ridiculously important.  There is an excellent chance they could wind up finishing his term for him.

yes i agree, but i still firmly believe that an inexperienced VP is better than an inexperienced president...at least this woman will get to see mccain do some work before he dies... if he dies. that's excellent experience for her, and definitely more experience than obama has... Just her being mccains VP will make her more experienced.

i dont think so. mccain has been trying to make it known that he is not going to be like bush, that he disagrees with a lot of what bush has done. yeah, he's republican like bush, but they are 2 separate people with 2 separate agendas... i dont think the next 4 would be like the previous 8 w/ mccain

John Mccain, as I've said before, has done nothing in government that Barack has not done.

Does being a Senator LONGER really prepare you to be President that much more?

If almost everyone agrees that government is broken, or at least seriously flawed, I am at a loss as to why the person who has been active in the government the longest is automatically considered the most qualified candidate.

we have concealed carry laws, etc, in this country, where once upon a time it was frowned upon to NOT carry a firearm.

Washington DC just allowed handguns again and their crime rate plummeted. new york should follow suit. they are the most crime ridden slums ever, when you outlaw guns only outlaws have guns.

"gee, i was going to rob this liquor store at gun point but since i cant have a gun ill just use this knife instead"

Re: Obama & Oprah [Re: Cannabischarlie]

This is stupid.

You're missing the point of this election. It's not about experience and it isn't about race. You're only looking at the tip of the iceberg because you're thinking hard enough.

Barrack might not have any experience but he promises "change", whatever that means, to the American People. Mccain can claim that he isn't like Bush but at the end of the day he just another old, rich, conservative who will run the country the same way it always has been.

Obama preaches honesty in politics and puts the people's faith back into the government. If ANYTHING, this is enough to garner my vote. If Mccain is elected president I will have lost complete faith in my government. Obama is at least on the right track.

Also, the fact that Mccain chose this woman for his running is preposterous. Am I the only one here who sees that? Its sexist that the republican party had the audacity to just throw a woman on the ballot to garner female voters. It doesn't work like that, and anyone who doesn't understand how much of a insult that is to us as the American people, not just woman, isn't very smart.

At the end of the day politics is a joke anyway. But don't disparage Obama because he doesn't have any "experience". You're not really looking at what this election is about. And if you think Obama isn't capable of running the country because he wants Gun Control I'm going to have to shun you on being

1.) Self Centered.
2.) Narrow Minded enough to not understand the ramifications of voting republican.

LOL you guys are great!! and i think the longer you are in politics the better you are prepared to be president. The more years you spend doing something the more you know about it.  a one term senator may not know near as much as someone who's been there way longer, depending on what they had to deal with while they were there.

VOTE MIKE GRAVEL!!!! lol

McCain is a joke. The guy is a cookie cutter tyrant. He is almost identical of George Bush. People want to change this country in a different direction, and yet McCain votes on bills ALMOST THE SAME as George Bush.

His veep pick is stupid as well. Palin has almost no executive experience. McCain picked her for the obvious reasons, he wants the Hillary vote. The point is she is really unquilified to be the vice president of the united states.

The average life expectancy is 75 and McCain is 72 years old. It is a REAL possibility that she could be the next president if McCain dies. I dont feel comfortable with her Experience to be able to lead this country through its struggles.

Now Obama isn't some messiah either. Biden is a strong choice. However his views on the internet aren't the best. (I can look this up for yall but Im pretty lazy this morning). And really that concerns me. Biden has extensive foreign experience, which fits great because Obama has been a great senator but doesn't have the best experience with foreign policy. Thats where biden comes in. He is a bulldog and he is going to rip McCain and Palin apart.

The point is that we don't need another warmonger in the white house, and we need to move this country in the right direction. McCain is not going to do that, I can rest assure you that. We do not need to be in Iraq for another 100 years, and we dont need to bring back the draft. These are all things McCain has been quoted on, and I rather have Obama and his views be leading this country then some governor from Alaska trying to pull womens votes.
