Ron Paul is not a candidate anymore, nor is he running independant/constitutional. He made a statement that he has dropped out and endorsing constitutional candidate Chuck Baldwin. I hope everyone realizes this, otherwise alot of votes will be lost.

That sounds pretty scary. Fundies should be banned from participating in politics, they're ruining this country. I wish they'd be banned from this country, though for obvious reasons I wouldn't support that.

I really don't understand why people waste their time going to vote when obviously your candidate has zero chance of winning.

When you go on Nov 4th, there is MUCH more to vote for then just the Presidents position. There are many local offices up for re-election as well as referendums to vote yes and no on.

I really wanted Ron Paul in. If I get a paper ballot I will write his name in. Otherwise, I may just go back to putting my vote behind the Green Party to help keep them on future ballots.

That is a very good point, I never thought of that in regards to voting for a 3rd party candidate. While, for instance, a libertarian will not win the presidential election this year it's likely that many libertarians could win other positions. As their influence grows so does their chances of having a candidate make it to the white house down the road.

Exactly.  3rd party runners and Independents do get elected to Congress, the Senate and County Offices.

Also, state and local elections are important to vote in as these people have a greater impact on the laws, local spending and taxes governing your day to day life then the Presidents position does.

If the vote fraud gets cleaned up, and if there will  ever be any hope for a 3rd party or Independent to get in to the White House, they need to get a certain percentage of votes to stay on future ballots.

There is a lot worth still going out to vote for.

For any of you Paul supporters that live in North Carolina, please help BJ Lawson win for Congress. Paul needs a like minded buddy in there with him.

Even if you don't live in his district to vote for him, his campaign could still use a donation if your up for it. Thanks.

Quote:
Dear Friend,

A lot of folks have begun calling B.J. Lawson the next Ron Paul. The comparison is very flattering. . . for me.

For those who are not yet familiar, B.J. Lawson is a wonderful young candidate running for Congress in North Carolina's Fourth Congressional District. B.J. is a medical doctor, family man, Constitutionalist and a fierce defender of individual freedom. We need B.J. Lawson in Congress to stand beside me in the fight for liberty, and against the corporate socialism that has overtaken our economy!

B.J. is running against an entrenched big government liberal who voted for the $700 billion taxpayer bailout of Wall Street and has a long history of voting for huge spending, raiding your social security trust fund for pet projects, and even voted for the Patriot Act.

A recent poll shows B.J. Lawson within striking distance in this election, but he needs your help!

B.J. needs $250,000, right away, to run the campaign he needs to take this race right down the the wire. I know that if we band together, we can help him get the money he needs.

I am asking you, as a fellow Defender of Liberty, to mark the four week countdown to this November's election and join with me and donate to B.J. Lawson's campaign this Tuesday, October 7th. I know times are tough, but that is all the more reason why we need to send a message and help B.J. Lawson.

Contributions can be made at http://www.lawsonforcongress.com

This one-day "Money Bomb" could be what it takes to propel the next Ron Paul into Congress. I hope you will join me to support B.J. Lawson with your on-line contribution this Tuesday, October 7th.

Sincerely,

Ron Paul

Some of you may be interested in watching this 3rd Party Press conference Ron Paul set up last month in D.C.  You'll also get to hear a bit form Chuck Baldwin, the guy running for the Constitution party that RP has endorced. Mckinney and Nader also Speak. Bob Barr was expected to be there, but pulled a no show at the last minute.

RP makes a good point in his openning speach, that the majority of America is 3rd party if you add up those who don't vote out of disgust for the two party's, those that vote for a "lesser" evil to keep the worser out, and those that do vote 3rd party or Independent.

They came together to let the press know that it is BS they are no longer allowed in the Presidential Debates and get little to no press. I agree!

Ron Paul was also anti-abortion (as am I) and the constitutional party wants to decriminalize marijuana (but keep all other drugs illegal). If I wanted to be a libertarian I woulda vote for Bob Barr but I dont agree with Libertartianism. The Constitution party does want to stop the flow of illegal drugs (which Im all for), but not arrest people for marijuana(which they will leave up to the state to decide). I think you are missing the point that Ron Paul was also a Christian with Christian values.
