WTF Gamestop

Alright, so I'm trying to get one of those wireless receivers that lets you use your xbox 360 controller with your PC right.  So I look on the website and found it, checked if it was in stock at the store and indeed it was.

So on my way home from my girlfriends house I run in.  I ask (assuming that they would know what I was talking about) "One of those wireless usb thing for xbox controllers is only like 20 bucks right?"  He replies, "Whats only 20 dollars?"  I explain the product and asks me if im looking for a computer controller.  I said no...  So he asks the guy he was working with if there was such a thing (he fucking didn't believe me).  His co-worker goes "Yeah, its a wired controller."  I said it wasn't and hes like then there's nothing else.  I told him it said it was in stock on the website.  He tells me oh that's only for certain stores... So I just fucking left and came home. 

I come home and look online again just to make sure I was right.  The one thing I forgot at the store was that its actually called a "Wireless Gaming Receiver" .  So I call them back real polite like and said that I had just stopped in asking for this...  And I asked if "Wireless Gaming Receiver" rings a bell.  (hoping that they would realize what I'm looking for and stop treating me like I'm crazy.)  No we dont have it.  I told him that im looking at the site right now and it says it's in stock.  And he has the nerve to tell me that it means its in stock on the website.  So I just said fine and hung up. 

They were dicks about it and didn't even bother looking it up on their computers.  Fuck gamestop.

but i looked at that link that looks crack as hell!

id be tight lol they did that same shit to me with the game "paper mario" like they thought i was on teh drugs or something i got there and they literally have it hung up by all the new games the only reason i went is cuz i called another store a lil further away and they actually gave me a nice answer rather then a *uhmmmmmmmm no i dont think we have that right now*

like theyre actually looking and shit:rolleyes:

What makes you think they actually have it at the store? Its not like they keep their online retail stock stored in local chains. If its not an item that get purchased regularly, they aren't going to keep it in stock at the store.

I'm skeptical that website has an accurate (or even real for that matter) inventory of any brick and mortar location.  Stores can't even keep track of it very well themselves locally.

That said, Gamestop isn't that big, you could have just looked yourself.

I was too conscious to look around the store my self after asking and them telling me no. :/

I ended up calling another gamestop and the guy didn't know what i was talking about either, but he checked the computer and said they had it, he even stayed open 5 minutes later for me :]  Real cool guy.  But I'm gonna look myself next time I go.  I'd put money on it.
