What do you think of when you hear the word EXPLORE?

I think of how the definition (in my mind at least) changed over time, from where it used to mean finding 'new' land for you and yours to survive on. Now? I'd say it means exploring yourself, figuring out what you want, and working on how to earn money to be able to accomplish those goals. It's 2008. You can get anything you want (really!), and accomplish anything you want, if you work hard enough. It's not just about surviving anymore. Exploration isn't as common as it once was. Exploration nowadays is just spending money somewhere else. Going on a 'vacation'. Vegas baby! Yea, okay. Just buy whatever you can dream up on the Internet, as fast as you can type. Sure, we're killing our planet in the process, but now in a world full of more communication than ever before, ironically, is the introduction of the self-indulgent era. MEmemememememe!

The worst part is that most people I come across don't see this.

Am I making sense? Maybe I should elaborate?
