Osaka, Japan

I have a job opportunity in Osaka and am thinking about going, anyone ever been there/lived there?  What'd you think of the city and lifestyle as a whole?  If so, come across any 'shrooms/buds whilst there?  Seems like a groovy possibility, but figured I'd ask you guys too.  Thanks ahead of time!

ive visited japan and while traveling through Osaka i have to say i love japan. people are very friendly Osaka is a beautiful city

I think drugs are pretty much not an option in Japan.  Very harsh penalties.

Japan's got Yakuza so I'm sure drugs are obtainable in the cities. Don't know about the penalties there, but I do know China is real harsh about that so...

Yeah, Japanese drug laws are pretty crazy from my research.  But I figured I'd ask anyway.  Thanks for all your responses!

Watch the Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations episode where he went to Osaka. As far as a good all around feel for the culture, wrapped up in an hour... That's your best bet.

And you might just discover an awesome place to eat.

Drugs are an option anywhere dude. Wherever there are people that want to use drugs, there will be drugs.
