i realize questions like this have probably been asked sooo many times. but anyway
my campus is surrounded by cow fields. heres some questions:
1. what time of year does one look? 2. how long after it rains? 3. does it need to be in cow shit? or just anywhere in the field? where does one look in the field? 4. what time of day? 5. how hard would it be to find shrooms on cow fields? 6. what are the chances they would be pychedelic and not poisonous? how often are they psychedelic *and* poisonous? 7. how hard would it be to identify a magic shroom from a deadly one? could i post a pic? 8. is this a bad idea? i dont want to get poisoned
Different for different shrooms and different locations.
>2. how long after it rains?
Day or two after; it needn't necessarily rain for shrooms to grow.
>3. does it need to be in cow shit? or just anywhere in the field? where does one look in the field?
Some grow in cow shit, some in other kinds of shit, some in grass or on wood.
>4. what time of day?
When it's too dark for the farmers to aim properly.
>5. how hard would it be to find shrooms on cow fields?
Could be easy, could be impossible... depends where you look
>6. what are the chances they would be pychedelic and not poisonous?
Chances are moderateish-lowish they'd be poisonous; chances are quite low a random mushroom you find is psychedelic. Don't even THINK about eating any wild mushroom you haven't had identified by someone who knows what they are doing. It's called Mushin' Roulette.
>how often are they psychedelic *and* poisonous?
Not often but some are.
>7. how hard would it be to identify a magic shroom from a deadly one? could i post a pic?
In the hunting forum they will do their best to identify mushrooms if you can supply the following: Physical appearance (pics are indispensible for IDing) Spore print/color, gill color and type, size/dimensions, bruising tendencies, location found, substance found in.
8. is this a bad idea? i dont want to get poisoned
Is what a bad idea? Eating mushrooms you haven't POSITIVELY identified: YES. Hunting for mushrooms on someone else's property: PROBABLY. Do it at your own risk.
Go to the Grow/Find section of the site. If you go to the hunting forum here they'll get mad at you if you don't do your own research before asking questions. And don't ask them for locations.
