Re: serious poll about the mods here (moved) [Re: Ego Death]
    #8738614 -

they moved this thread because they are scared of the results, it should be in the pub, so pub members can see it. hardly anyone goes to this forum...

i've notified a mod in this forum to move it back, i hope they do.

OneMoreRobot3021, the same guy who closed my other thread that did not violate any rules, moved it without my permission. I did in no way suggest to move this thread.

you act like this is a democracy. It's not your site and it's not your choice. theres plenty of other forums out there.

This thread was moved from Website Announcements and Feedback.

Reason:
Fine, have your poll in the Pub.  Just recognize that in all odds, nothing will come of it.  If you have legitimate complaint about any specific moderator, you would be expected to present your case to an administrator for review, including any links or PM's which substantiate the allegedly inappropriate conduct.  Please note, if this thread turns into a flame and/or bitch fest, it will probably be locked or dumped.

Yeah, by and large the Mods do a wonderful job.

The rules of the Pub are pretty clearly stated.  I've never seen anyone banned unjustly (they always appear to have broken the Pub rules).

The only real issue I'm aware of are mods occasionally perma-banning an individual from the forum for relatively trivial offenses.  But, this doesn't seem to happen too often, and anyone who is unfairly banned in this fashion can appeal their case through support tickets.

And a quote from an old thread on a similar subject:
Quote:
these matters are supposed to be taken up in private with the administration to prevent a band-wagon-esque bashing.

Yeah, but what are you going to do with the results?  Start e-stalking stein and ripple, trying to compile evidence of biased modding?

It seems to me you're just annoyed by WhiskeyClone's most recent warning/ban issued to you...do you really feel that after 2 months he needs to be sacked from his job?  I don't know about you but I've certainly started new jobs and made mistakes (and while I think he was write to issue an infraction, the ban seemed overly hefty. however, you are amassing quite a log of infractions) for the first 2 months I was on that job.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

No, we don't get paid. We just get polls from OTDers who have been around for a year saying we need to be demodded.

So if the poll has no point/objective, it sounds like you're just trying to stir up some discontent.  In which case you're basically just trolling and they were right to delete the poll the first time.
