Ok, here's how I see this place, using an analogy we can all relate to let me explain how I feel.

Shroomery Bar, on 1st street. Next to the 24hr adult video store.

Imagine if you will that OTD is a bar, and that this bar is a typical Pub with one long bar and a few bartenders behind it.. There is the pool room area, people shooting stick.. There is the darker seating area where people are chatting away.. There is the game room where a few video games are and its pretty well light.

Imagine if you will if this was a bar that meant many different things to many different people. There is the crowd who walks in and can't stand the bright light and noise of the game room; and of course they can't stand the video games since they find it too childish.. This crowd sits down in the dark and find a happy place to chat with friends and away from the noise.

The next group comes into the bar and finds the dark area where people are 'chatting' to be stupidly boring and the video games not fun so they goto play pool in the bright light of the pool room. This group has lots of energy and likes to make lots of noise, they look over at the darker area and wonder how people can come in here wasting time just chatting and drinking..

The next group walks into the bar and wants to play vids! Hey video games are fun (Golden Tee rulez!).. They don't feel like sitting down chatting, they think the game room losers are idiots since they play pool and try to pretend they are some hot shits..

The bartenders (think who the bartenders are... mods) look at the pub and see every group is having fun doing their own thing.. Nobody is bothering anyone, and everyone gets what they want out of this popular bar. However the bartenders know very well that its early and once everyone has been drinking that the different groups end up lipping each other off or bothering each other.

In fact sometimes this bar is outright scary for new people cause when someone new to this place walks in and wants to have a drink the locals in the pub don't make them feel welcome.. In fact some of them outright gang up on new people to make the want to leave.

After a while the bar starts to become dominated by one group, and the other groups feel less and less welcome.. Until finally one group has basically the bar to themselves and the other 2 groups have given up on the place.

The owners (admins) feel that its gotten way out of hand and that this bar should be a place for everyone to enjoy.. So they say to the bartenders, hey tell us honestly who are the troublemakers.. Those who get drunk and lip off other customers, start fights, puke on the floor, etc..

So the owners hire doormen, this bar is getting popular and there needs to be control now.. The owners never wanted or imagined they'd have to waste money on stupid doormen, but hey people who visit the bar seem to care less about the bar and its past history.

Now a few of the bar's regulars are mad because the owners have made it difficult for some to enjoy themselves, they used to feel this place was their own, that they could do anything they wanted.. What they seem to not understand is that no one is telling them to leave or not enjoy the place..

They are just telling them that the bar is not just for them, that others should be able to enjoy it as well.

Can't we all find our own corner of the bar to enjoy it? Can't we all show basic respect for those who all share this kick ass bar?

Why does it have to be us vs them? That shit is all in your head.

Anyways, I ramble. Thats how I see this place anyhow..

Cause don't forget myself, Ythan, Captain Jack, Doob, Moe, etc... We all know what this place used to be like, and now all of us have the same attitude of 'jeessus what the fuck happened to OTD, its a shithole'... I know these guys pretty well and they are all GOOD people who care a lot about this crazy place.. Yet good people like that think this forum is a shithole, some of us think its worse than others.. But the fact remains its a clique mentallity that needs to go for everyone to get what they want out of this forum..

Ps.. Don't argue about the 'pub/chill out' forum, cause it should never have been made to begin with (my fault).. Nobody should be pushed out of your clique, you need to learn how to share it with others, no more ganging up (DBK), etc...

If you don't like someone, don't reply to their thread, don't jump into threads and ruin it with your own selfish need to be noticed or whatever...

Its so simple that I can't believe more of you don't see the mentallity going on here...

The guy who created this place is sickened by this forum, what the hell does that tell you?!?
