Who has been to India?

I have never traveled on my own, yet alone even get out of West US.

I have always had in the back of my head how much I hate America and would rather live somewhere where people appreciate life more.  But I have always been told this was a fantasy.

Anyone been and came back with stories?

My cousin went to Calcutta a few years back. He said it was great. Except he used a public restroom and.... they had to cut off his leg!

I am planning a trip to India myself, either next year or the year after.

So far Ive been to; Canada, Mexico, England, Italy, France, Germany, The Phillipines, Egypt, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Turkey, Greece and Spain.

Ok but seriously tho, I live in Mumbai, so if you are planning a trip, let me know and we can work out the details if you want to travel here.

You guys are welcome to visit with me for a few days. Oh and I would suggest using Couchsurfing, India has very active communities on CS, and you will probably find decent hosts, plus you can always ask me about the hosts, I know a few people.

Ummm, its cool that you hate America and want to live somewhere else. But don't go to India...that place is dirty. Its hard to be clean with that many people living in that area.
