Yeah, okay.
Anybody can make hash, do you think it's mined or something?
Do a little research smartass.
The hash you get is made by someone else.

yep certainly. but by people who really really really know what they are doing. just like anybody can grow relatively nice pot, but it takes some practice/talent to make a super-skunked strain blossom to it's full potential. i occasionally get hashish made by a friend's father, and while it certainly is nice (and organic, at that) - it can't hold a candle to some very nice stuff coming from, say, lebanon or northern africa. the hashish there is being made by families that have been in the business for literally centuries. i think they've learned a few tricks.

But it's still made by someone. Just because it's homemade somewhere beside Morocco or India doesn't mean it isn't hash.

yeah, correct enough. when i said "homemade hash isn't real hashish" i meant that, in my own experience, and the experience of nearly everybody i know, the hashish that you make in your own kitchen (if its bubble-hash, or pressed kif, or whatever) isn't nearly as good in texture, consistency, smell, taste, or potency as, can we call it, "professionally-made" hashish. as i said earlier, i chalk it up to centuries of experience - as well as having much larger quantities to be dealing with. and even the hashish we get in europe is the worser-end of the hashish being made in the arab and indian world. the first few layers that are pressed, the most kiffed of the kif, is kept for those making it...

I think we've entered into a conflict of semantics.

My definition of "real" is quite different than yours.

 i didn't mean "real" in a "real" sense. more as a metaphor for "good." but, then again, what does "good" mean. and what does "mean" mean? :whoa: this is going too far for me...

Very nice! Any kind of quality hash is hard to come by around here.

What's your preferred method of smoking?

well my preferred method is really nice skunk out of a glass piece.

but whilst i'm living on the continent, mixing hash with nicely roasted tobacco,
rolling with smoking papers
(although i prefer the black ones, the blues will do in a pinch)
and ending up with a nice spliff

I prefer Moroccan, Afghani, and several other unknown 'pro' hashes to bubble/dry sift kif (imo, the best homemade options). 'Hashish' is a great book to flip through and learn all you ever needed to know about hash and the families and business-oriented cultures making it around the world.

I enjoy the earthy taste of Moroccan because of the climate it was grown in. The narcotic stone of a well-made and traveled chunk of hashish is nothing to scoff at. I wish I could duplicate that with a bucket of water and a cake mixer. Zero zero anyone? :drooling:

I disagree. FMCD bubble hash and butane honey oil potency is unmatched by any of those bulk hashes hands down.

The hash I have smoked in the US cant hold a candle to some of the hash made overseas.

I think that's what Krishna was talking about. The foreign hash is in a whole different category than any US "home-made" hash.

i agree they have the finest hash for taste, smell, and high, connoisseur hash basically. they have better genetics that are the pride of that hash family passed down for hundreds of years.

but for sheer potency you can not beat some western honey oil IMO.the high might not be pretty but it will knock your ass out.

Effects/potency of homemade hash and imports cannot be compared, the highs are just too different. For example, honey oil may get you soaring, but where it lacks in the "body stone" category--a ball of dark afghani will lay you out for several hours without much of a "head high" at all. Or vice versa, depending on how the cannabanoids effect you personally.

In my experience with multiple hashes, anything made at home in the states cannot match the full spectrum of effects produced from a landrace-based hash in a region where plants have been thriving for centuries.
