And as far as the diet thing goes... Moth, when I eat a diet of fruits and vegetables only, my stools turn into... almost water. Gross really. It does make pooping go at lot faster. Sit down, push, and it's all gone in a second. I wouldn't say it smells any better. Poop is poop... well unless you've been eating a bunch of Mexican food

Shroomism: while meat does take a lot longer to digest, the human digestive system was actually designed to break it down. Thats one of the main purposes of the gallbladder; to hold/release bile which emulsifies fats.

On the other hand, humans are not equipped with the "tools" to efficently breakdown fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are made of mostly cellulose, a sugar that constructs the cell walls of plants. The human digestive system has NO way to break down cellulose (other than mechanical breakdown by teeth). Thats why you'll notice bits of corn, carrots, lettuce, or other bits of cellulose plant material in your stools... You simply can't digest it.

The vitamins and nutrients we absorb from fruits/veggies are limited when compared to animals with digestive systems better equipped to handle cellulose.  Herbivores have specialized digestive systems that have places which harbor bacteria that will break down the cellulose cell walls, releasing all of the nutrients inside. Scientists suspect that the purpose of the appendix used to be to harbor bacteria to break down cellulose... but as humans evolved, our diet evolved and we had less need for those bacteria.
