Depends which series. This Joker is apparently based on Alan Moore's Killing Joke.

I agree with you, I was expecting him to be more humorous, but I much prefer it this way.

It's funny how yet another thread about this movie has turned into a discussion about The Joker. It's really his movie, not Batman's.

I think that Bale is a good Bruce Wayne, but he's not that good of a Batman. Heath Ledger was a great Joker.

Also, I just thought of a good comparison for my "dream Joker" character. His humor would be kind of like Jigsaw's from Saw. His whole "Let's play a game" idea. Only, instead of calling it a game, he'd think of it as a joke. And instead of doing it to people he thought deserved it, he'd do it to whoever.

The boat experiment. He could have laughed a lot more at that. Or his whole speech on anarchy. He could have ended it with the line "...And that's funny." Even a bit more expansion on his "Why so serious?" line would have been nice.

Yeah, I was gonna bring up a lot of nit picky type crap like that, but figured I'd just leave it alone. There were a lot of different things that made me scratch my head, and I agree with the other posters, there was a ton of potential there.

its good, it just drags on, they could of made a 2nd movie focusing on 2 face i suppose, but all in all it was worth a matine, it did have its moments although its not worth your night and 9 bucks

SPOILERS WITHIN:

I thought the movie was awesome. The new Rachel was "Meh" as far as acting went, but Bale and Ledger were awesome I thought.

I like this new Joker. The one thing that bothered me was how, when he bombed the hospital and was just standing outside it for a moment, a SWAT team would have blown him away pretty fast. Everything else (the bad cops, the escape plan) seemed plausible, though unlikely, but him getting away from the hospital alive seemed downright impossible.

The scoring was good, though some of the scene transitions seemed rushed. I can understand it though- it was pretty long as it was, and although they could have done some stuff to make everything more continuous and whatnot, but it would have been a 4 hour long movie.
