What you take to be you (body/mind) dies, so to have a NDE this idea of yourself (body/mind) must die, either actually physically die or consciously die through death of the mind in meditation exercises.

When you consciously die you realize that what your essence is does not die, only this name & form passes away, as all names & forms do.

Its identification with this name & form which dies, not YOU.

During a full NDE all thats left is awareness & all names & forms are gone, you can also have NDE's where you travel to higher planes, heavenly realms etc, all of which are unreal & illusory, the only truth is full nonidentification with name & form, then you realise you are infinite pristine awarness.

Yikes.  Careful with that recommended dose...:eek:  28 Grams dried!!??

I ate approx 2 ounces once and spent the night in the hospital with a heart monitor attached to me.  The high was the most bizarre thing I've ever experienced besides Salvia, but lasted pretty much FOREVER.  Informative but fuckin scary.:what:

I double dosed at like 2 hours...  MISTAKE.  Period.  Lesson learned.  :crazy:  Luckily I puked a lot of it up on purpose as I realized what I had done.  Shit was...  No words for it really.  Amanita Berserker rage...??  Half and half.  Heaven and hell.  Yikes.

Once I ate a quarter cap of an Oregon fruit that I picked myself...  I had to get up and walk around cause I swear I was going to float away.  Quarter cap...!!  Fun but...  Fucking DIFFERENT.  :eek:

thought you were talking about psilocybe... never tried amanita myself, so couldn't really imagine. 

mushrooms never gave me these death like experiences, even at really high doses combined with pot.  acid is what did me in big time, like complete amnesia and zooming into a mandelbrot fractal for hours :eek:

Crazy thing is I've never done LSD/acid...  So likewise I can't really imagine, but I try.  I got the most lifelike visuals from a dose of 'ecstasy' once.  Don't know if it was pure MDMA or something else.  Saw all kinds of shit.  Horses walking across the road, cats and dogs, and people that weren't there, crazy shit in the shadows.

Amanitas were like...  *Warning* and I saw weapons all over Earth trained on other people, and in rooms, and stockpiled, and being tested...  A cop looked right into my eyes and said, "...Even you deserve to live..."  Freaked me out.:eek:

I'm serious, fill a sink or a bucket or something with water, put your head in, hold your breath just enough so that if you don't pull your head out you know you'll die. You'll thank yourself afterwards if you do it right. If you let go completely you'll snap your head right out of there but you'll also achieve enlightenment or what Jesus was doing in the river (what baptism is supposed to be about).
