I'd like to read some detailed descriptions of the heroin high. Describe the intial rush, the plateau and the afterglow. Whether you've smoked, injected or snorted heroin, I'm asking for your take on the drug. Why is it so addictive?

Well opiates build up physical dependence so the withdrawl can be very dangerous. Also they produce a very euphoric and relaxing high that is very mentally addictive!!!

It's true that we rarely describe it's effects .  Can't say I've taken any or plan to do so in the future , but I once heard it felt like "10 000 orgasms".

When I shot heroin, it was to escape the feelings of being unloved (which now being cleaned, i realized that people did love and care about me.)
I wont describe the high, because i no longer condone the use of it.
Describing it only makes it tempting. But i guess it's good to be educated. It feels good at first, than it hurts, i'll leave it at that. And when I say it hurts, I mean it.

I've ODed on it. I'd say to the least I didn't mind. it was the most intense feeling of my life. I never went to the hospital, so who knows what damage was done. 15 minutes I was in pure bliss. That I never got to feel mind you. But when I woke up, it was like BAM BAM BAM BAM. Never felt better.
I think it brought me to a false sense of what was really happening. Looking back on it, i don't like the ability to shrug off all problems and bad things. Facing them is key now :smile:

the high is exactly like oxy which is a body high that isn't heavy or light like you would get with weed. it sedates you and gives you the perfect high that makes you just love being, seriously you with love just touching your numbed skin and curling up in a blanket, and itching from the opiat, as for the plateau i couldn't describe it as i don't bang anything but id image its so euphoric that is makes you barely conscious.

i wouldn't say the high is like oxy. theres some similarities, but not that much.

i feel like i have to say this: if you already like other opiates, DON'T TRY HEROIN. its the highest high and the lowest low at the same time. you'd probably have to be strung out to know what i mean.

watch the movie "trainspotting". it might give you some insight.

I agree. Don't try heroin. It's not like the rest in my opinion. I've shot morphine, i've shot heroin. 2 totally different feelings.
Turns out morphines only good for the next day after shooting heroin.
He's right, its the highest high the lowest low.

Heroin IS NOT worth it. There are much better and safer ways of consuming opiates.

not really. dilaudid has a much better rush, but no real length to the buzz. of course, everyone is different. i've seen people nod out from a k-4 10 minutes after shooting one. i, on the other hand cant feel a buzz after just a few minutes, but the rush is incredible. heroin's rush is much more subtle, but the buzz is much better and longer. thats why i like dilaudud and heroin together. however i do not recommend it if you don't have a super high tolerance to opiates.

I think it's really hard to compare the effects of opiates when they're administered in the hostpial to their effects on the outside... I was shot up with loads of dilaudid when I had my kidney stone, but I was in such unbearable pain from the stone that the painkillers just made me feel tired and sore, but it wasn't enjoyable what-so-ever. 

Without excruciating pain I'm sure it would have been pure bliss.
